1Utopia
This was one of the funniest things I have ever heard. It is so out of place, but if you have spent any time in Utah then you know the Mormon church is so entwined with every aspect of life here that it really should not be that surprising. I also love the way they just keep the traffic jingle playing in the background when she's done.
2Hands Clean
More than 10,000 stores will hand out a total of 1.5 millions songs per day from October 2 to November 7. Customers will receive a "song of the day" card with their coffee purchase, containing a promotional code to redeem at iTunes. 37 songs will be part of the promotion, including music from Paul McCartney, John Mayer, and Annie Lennox.
321 Things I Want In A Lover
Arthur Russell died of AIDS in 1992, but his legacy feels excitingly like a living, breathing thing. The Iowa-born producer and composer's music has enjoyed a much-deserved renaissance in recent years, helped by a handful of reissues and compilations.
4That Particular Time
This is a fascinating story about a man who enters into a business arrangement and finds out the hard way he got in over his head. The old American Business maxim of "Watch your back" really hit home here.
5Flinch
How about Brett Favre? Yeah, we know. That's every year. But Chad Johnson? Shaun Alexander? Plus QB issues at near-epidemic levels. Pete Prisco looks at key offseason questions facing every team.
